For those people wanting to continue living at home, but who require assistance to do so, there are a number of options available to you:
Option 1 – You can apply for government subsidised Home Care Packages
This will involve an assessment to obtain approval and determined priority status, variable waiting periods to access funded supports and means-tested service fees. Funded supports are those services paid for or supported, in part, by the government.
Option 2 – Immediate Access to the
supports you require
This gives you full choice in and control of the quality of your care service providers and the frequency of services.
Option 3 – You can initially implement
a User-pays Care Plan
This will enable you to access required care services whilst receiving assistance to apply for funding during this time.
